Getting Started

The basics of silent disco hire — what it is, how the wireless headphone system works, who it suits and what you get when you book with No Noise.

A silent disco is an event where guests listen to music through wireless LED headphones instead of loudspeakers. No Noise systems can offer up to three music channels, so guests can switch between them and control their own volume.

Noise, Venues & Neighbours

Honest answers about noise. Silent disco removes amplified music from the room, but it does not automatically override a venue curfew, licence or contract.

No. There is no amplified dance music coming from speakers, but guests can still talk, laugh, clap and sing along.

Weddings

Wedding-specific answers: whether to replace your DJ, how many headphones to book, keeping older guests happy and dancing past the venue curfew.

Yes. A silent disco can solve conflicting music tastes, reduce amplified noise and create a memorable late-night element at a wedding.

Kids Parties

Children's silent disco answers — suitable ages, adjustable headphones, volume control, music picks and sensible party lengths.

Yes. Silent discos can be excellent for children's parties because the music is exciting, the LED headphones are visually engaging and each child has their own volume control.

Schools, Colleges & Proms

Answers for teachers, PTAs and prom committees: running several year groups, staff control of the music, hall setup and education pricing.

Yes. Silent disco gives pupils an energetic dance experience while greatly reducing amplified music around the rest of the school site.

Outdoor & Special Events

Taking silent disco outdoors and into unusual formats — gardens, marquees, fields, beaches, festivals, conferences and DJ battles.

Yes, provided you can keep the equipment dry, use safe power where needed and comply with the venue or landowner's rules.
